Examples of Typical Applications
2/2 and 3/2 direct acting solenoid valves
- A direct acting valve can be used where there are lower flow
rates due to the smaller orifice. Media can be water, air, steam, oil or any
media compatible with the wetted materials. Examples of this could be coffee
cartridge dispensing machine, air dryer, hydro-sauna, weed killing equipment
- Direct acting valves are suitable for fast and frequent operation.
- A 3/2 normally closed direct acting valve could be used to supply
air to operate a spring return pneumatic cylinder or actuator. When de-energised,
the air in the cylinder will exhaust. There is even a specially designed banjo
mounting 3/2 valve for direct mounting onto our piston valves and actuators.
- We have supplied nickel plated versions of the direct acting valve
to companies producing car washing equipment.
Nickel plating is a suitable
inexpensive means of protecting the brass body against corrosion caused by
cleaning detergents.
- Direct acting solenoid valves can often be used in vacuum applications,
for example in a vacuum pump system.
- M&M provide many customised manifold options and banked valves
for various applications. Manifold assemblies can save on space and cost.
